L'été est propice aux balades, et même si ce jour de début juillet était plutôt automnal (mes photos manquent donc un peu de
luminosité), la visite du château de Valmer à Chançay, près de Vouvray, n'en fut pas moins un moment très très agréable ! Du château, on visite
aujourd'hui les jardins en terrasse et le superbe potager. Allez hop, je vous emmène !
Even if the very day early July on which I visited the Château de Valmer at
Chancay (near Vouvray) was pretty much like an Autumn one (hence the lack of light on my pics), the visit of these beautiful terrace gardens and the wonderful kitchen garden was really a much
pleasant one! Come on, let's go for a walk!

Le potager est ceint de hauts murs et flanqué de deux tours d'angle, autrefois réservées l'une aux jardiniers et l'autre à
l'âne.
The kitchen garden is surrounded by high walls and flanked by two angled towers, which were used by the gardeners for one
and by the donkey for the other.
Plus de 1000 variétés de fruits, légumes, plantes condimentaires et officinales sont ainsi cultivées.
Over 1000 species of fruits, vegetables, seasoning and medicinal plants are growned in the kitchen garden.

Du milieu de l'été à l'automne, on peut aussi admirer dans le verger une très belle collection de callebasses et autres
cucurbitacées ! Notre visite se termine ici, alors si comme moi vous aimez les jardins, et en particulier les potagers, je vous encourage à aller visiter le château de Valmer !
From mid-summer to autumn you can also admire in the orchard a marvellous collections of gourds. This is now the end of the
