Le sampler Kensington road réalisé l'an dernier, un joli papier à impression "point de croix", offert par ma maman, pour garnir le devant et l'intérieur d'une boîte de récup !

 I just recycled a cardboard box, covered with a lovely cross-stitch printed paper offered by my Mom on the front and the inside of the box, and the Kensignton road sampler stitched last year.

Pour fermer, un vieux bouton de bottine et de la ficelle.

The box is closed with a string loop and an old bootee button

Toujours dans le cadre des cadeaux réalisés pour Noël, je me suis énormément amusée à confectionner cette poupée en tissu, d'après un modèle proposé par Jad Sampler. 

Among the Christmas gifts I made for my relatives was this fabric doll, after a pattern from Jad Sampler. It was really great fun.

La poupée est assez grande, 60 cm de haut, et tout, même le chapeau, est réalisé à la main ! J'ai adoré et je ne compte pas en rester là, vous verrez ! Et comme toujours les patrons fournis par Jad sont remarquables de clarté et de précision.

The doll is quite big, about 60 cm in height, and everything, including the hat, is hand made! I enjoyed it so much that I really intend to go on, just you wait and see! As always Jad's patterns are crystal clear and remarkably precise and detailed.

J'adore coudre tous ces petits vêtements ! A ce propos j'ai un projet en tête dont je vous reparle très vite...

I love sewing all the tiny clothes! I will soon tell you about a project maturing in my mind...

Allez hop, on commence une nouvelle série ! Le premier anniversaire d'hiver sur ma liste est celui de Barbara...

A new series is beginning with Winter birthday gifts. Several birthdays in winter time are on my list, the first one being Barbara's.

Pour Barbara j'ai choisi de faire une pochette zippée et un étui à ciseau dans les mêmes tons (modèle de la pochette in "Sacs et accessoires d'Anne-Pia", A.-P. Godske-Rasmussen, L'inédite, 2009 ; étui à ciseau in "Rangements à coudre", C. Franconie, LTA, 2010)

A zipped pouch and a scissor case with matching fabrics were my choices for Barbara (pattern for the pouch in "Sacs et accessoires d'Anne-Pia", A.-P. Godske-Rasmussen, L'inédite, 2009 ; scissor case in "Rangements à coudre", C. Franconie, LTA, 2010)

Meu non !! Quoique... Toute ressemblance avec un chat existant ne serait peut-être pas tout à fait une coincidence fortuite...

Obviously not... I wonder, though, any resemblance to a certain living cat might not be just purely coincidental...

C'est un chat repose-poignets, rempli de sable, histoire de pouvoir taper plus confortablement à l'ordinateur ! Une photo trouvée sur Pinterest, un schéma fait maison pour élaborer un modèle et une efficace collaboration mère-ado pour confectionner la bestiole !

Actually it's a wrist cushion, filled with sand, to make you more confortable for typing on the computer. Based on a pic found on Pinterest, home-made pattern and a mother-and-son most efficient collaboration to create that little beast!

Bien entendu, aucun animal n'a été maltraité lors de la réalisation de cet ouvrage :):)

C'était ma petite broderie commencée selon la tradition le 1er janvier, avec les filles du forum Marquoirs, Samplers & cie... et vite finie ! Histoire de placer cette nouvelle année sous le double signe des petits croix et des samplers anciens !

As required by the tradition I began a new stitching on January, 1. A lovely pattern, quickly stitched too. Old samplers will definitely be my every day companions this year!
