A fortnight ago the Soyaux quilting guild (see Anne's report) and the Charente division of France Patchwork co-organized a very nice quilting bee, that gathered a good 135 quilters and heaps of fabric scraps, as the topic of the day was "how to best deal with our neverending heaps of scraps". We were given a nice booklet with 8 different patterns, and I chose the one featuring the "brick wall" to make a nice pouch. A brick wall what? Well as a picture is worth a thousand words, here's my own brick wall...
J'aime bien !
And the result, forming a nice pouch... I'm quite satisfied, I dare say!

Merci encore, Pierrette !
Today is Palm Sunday and the tradition in the Charente region is to eat these shortbread biscuits called "cornuelles", characterized by their triangular shape with the hole in the center and the anise flavour. I already mentioned them here last year, but this year I baked my own "Cornuelles", thanks to Pierrette who gave us her recipe!
I'm now going to check the wind, according to the saying that Palm Sunday's wind will be the year's main wind. And eat "cornuelles" too. Have a nice day, every one!
